MidAmerica Pastel volunteers organize many events and programs throughout the year. We invite you to check our website to find an activity that most interests you.
- Plein Air (group outdoor painting) and Group Studio Painting (on the Plein Air page) are a great way to meet other pastel artists and draw inspiration and learning from them
- Monthly Member Meetings that feature a variety of informational topics and painting demos by nationally known artists
- Member Artworks on the MAPS website where members are asked to submit 1-2 paintings for our website gallery every few months
- Our National Exhibition (open to pastel painters nationally), and Members Only Shows (open to MAPS members only) provide an opportunity for members to show their work publicly and be considered for cash awards. Visit this page to check out upcoming shows or see the results of our most recent show. Our Small Painting Show is open to members and is non-juried. This show is held at a local gallery and designed to encourage all members, beginners to experts, to show their work in a gallery setting.
