A Stronger Voice
One of the questions I’m asked again and again as an instructor is “how do I find my own voice as a painter?”
The answer might not be what you think. You don’t find your voice only by using a “signature” color palette, or by using the same dramatic marks in every painting, or by choosing a theme that sells well and then catering to that theme. You find your voice as a painter by knowing what you want to say and knowing how to translate that into your painting process. Your artistic voice is important! Let’s learn some ways to make your artistic voice strong and clear.
Lyn's award-winning paintings have appeared in shows and exhibitions throughout the United states, and in invitational exhibitions in France and China. Meetings are normally held the Third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM CT, via Zoom or in-person at Merriam Community Center. NEW! Because we want to bring you the best demos from prestigious pastel artists, the date and time may vary to accommodate schedules. All Zoom meetings are recorded so that they are readily available for those who cannot attend on the scheduled day.
